What you should know

 

  • If you lose your job within 90 days of the commencement of the insurance, you are not entitled to insurance compensation. You may request a postponement of the instalments.

  • The risks alternate automatically according to the changes in your life situation.

  • The entitlement to insurance compensation due to incapacity for work or loss of employment arises only after 60 days of its duration.

  • The insurance company will cover the instalment due in the same month of the 60th day of incapacity for work or loss of employment.

  • The insurance only covers illnesses, or their symptoms, and injuries which will manifest or will be diagnosed only after the commencement of the insurance.

  • If the incapacity for work is due to an illness which was treated already before the commencement of the insurance, you can apply for a postponement of instalments.

For how long can the instalment be postponed?

The instalment may be postponed for the entire duration of the investigation of the insured event (i.e. incapacity for work, loss of employment, disability), for the entire duration of the qualifying period (i.e. incapacity for work or loss of employment), for the duration of the waiting time (for employment) or in case of default of insurance compensation.

How to proceed if I lose my job during the waiting period?

In this case, it is absolutely necessary to contact the insurance company at +420 542 527 528 and submit a confirmation of registration at the Labour Office based on which the instalment may be postponed.

How to proceed if incapacity for work occurs during the waiting period?

Report this event immediately at +420 524 527 528 and submit a copy of the confirmation of the occurrence or duration of incapacity for work. Only then can the instalment be postponed.

Where should I report incapacity for work or loss of employment which occurred after the expiry of the waiting period and lasts longer than 60 days?

If an insured event arises, it is necessary to fill out the Insured Event Report which can be found in section Conditions and Forms. Each insured event has its own report form.
