Glass insurance

Glass insurance

Glass insurance covers damage to glass fixed to a building or construction, mounted in a frame which is a building component of a building or construction.

Glass insurance can also cover glued non-removable security sensors, attached foils, signs, paintings or other decoration if they are part of the insured glass. It also covers illuminated advertising and signs, including their electrical installation and load-bearing structure, and, last but not least, the glass of counters and showcases.

The insurance policy is concluded based on the “all-risk insurance principle”, i.e. the insurance covers all risks that are not excluded by insurance terms and conditions or contractual arrangements (as opposed to the principle of listed risks, such as in the case of insurance against natural hazards).
